A healthcare bill introduced in September 2014 may prove to be the source for relief for physicians and hospitals for Meaningful Use reporting in 2015.
The bill, “Flexibility in Health IT Reporting” or commonly known as, “Flex-IT” was presented by Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, which addresses the 365-day reporting period for 2015. The bill aims to continue the 90-day EHR reporting period for providers to qualify for the Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments.
