What Is HFMA?

The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) assists its participants and institutions in achieving optimal performance by providing useful tools and solutions, training, industry assessments, and expert advice to address the many challenges that the US healthcare system experiences.

More than 56,000 healthcare finance leaders and professionals from medical centers, provider groups, physician practices, commercial partners, and payer markets make up the HFMA community.

At the local, regional and national levels, HFMA advances the profession and industry by:

Providing opportunities for meaningful education and professional growth.
Creating and supporting partnerships with other medical institutions in order to reach consensus on solutions to the difficulties facing the US healthcare industry, as well as to ensure proper representation of the healthcare finance profession.
Educating a wide range of important industry decision-makers on the complexities and realities of the healthcare industry.
Working with a diverse range of stakeholders to identify and address gaps in knowledge, industry standards, and standards in the healthcare delivery system.

HFMA's Statements

The Healthcare Financial Management Association is working with other healthcare associations and industry groups to build consensus on solutions for the challenges that U.S.-based systems face today.
