CureMD Introduces Integrated Community EMR (ICE) at 2009 HIMSS
NEW YORK: CureMD, a New York City based medical information technology and support Company introduced integrated community EMR (ICE) at the Health Information Management Society’s 2009 Annual Meeting in Chicago. ICE provides the technological sophistication to enable all health care providers throughout a community to share clinical information during the entire continuum of care and for the life of the patient, while protecting privacy of patients.
Healthcare costs have long included the costs of duplicative testing and treatments, prescription conflicts, interrupted and fragmented care and the resulting consequences of poor and unnecessary care. ICE has been created in response, to allow a shared Electronic Medical Record between all providers active in the treatment of the patient, physicians, hospital and ancillary providers. In addition to the value of improved clinical communications, duplication in administrative processes is dramatically reduced, and records are kept current as users contribute updated information.
“CureMD’s ICE” is an exciting opportunity to make real the benefits of shared data in actual practice” said CureMD’s President Kamal Hashmat in introducing the product in Chicago this past week.
